Physicochemical Property
L-Arabinose has the appearance of white crystalline powder which has no odor and possesses sweet taste. It is 50% as sweet as sucrose, easily dissolved in water and glycerinum, hardly dissolved in Ethanol, ether and acetone. Its crystal can be formed in methanol and ethanol. Arabinose has the melting point ranges from 154℃ to 161℃ and it can cause mutarotation phenomenon.
